I've not done a conversion as such, though built up a duratec for a mid engine application. I would think you'll need to change a number of parts including sump, bellhousing, and oil filter housing to clear your chassis. Check out Retroford for RWD conversion parts, also Raceline for a sump etc. The standard inlet is a bit pants tbh the throttle body is very restrictive though can be swapped out for a 60mm item. also the standard throttle is motorised so needs to be sorted. Best to throw away the manifold and look towards bike bodies or Jenveys if you can. Allow for a new exhaust as well. As you can imagine the cost can climb pretty quickly though the engines are cheapish to replace if you blow it up and with bodies and a cam swap good for around 200bhp.

All the best whatever you choose to do

Have a look at rwd motorsport most of the parts are priced on their web site lots of time and money on my change were to bringing my car from webber carbs to injection if money is tight how about bike carbs and something simple for spark
