Pinto water routing / block route without heater?
joedredd - 30/8/19 at 05:58 PM

Hi,

I used to have a heater in my Tiger Pinto engine car, when I removed it I just ran the pipe from the head by the pulley over to the middle of the inlet on the other side.
I was told I could delete this from the setup - is that right? I'd always presumed the water needed to cycle around the head with that.

Ta.

Some do black it off, but I always run a pipe direct from manifold to water pump.
It’s there to provide better flow from the head without it there is a possibility of air being trapped.
I also run it over the large pipe from thermostat to radiator and fit a bleed T

You're confirming my thoughts, I'd prefer a cooler head rather than tidier engine bay!
