TB power

anyone have Throttle Bodiy data for how many car engine bhp they can provide?

(specifically interested in Kawasaki ZX6R, and Suzuki GSZR 5750)

(I've read somewhere 600 TB can go up to 200 bhp and 1,00 go to 300 bhp !!)

You want to look at the injector flow rate and inlet size/how muchthey can flow. This will be far more acurate than someone coming up with a pub bhp figure imho as it will depend on the engine and other tuning bits on it etc.

Ned.

flow rate - is that saying max flow rate is 245 cc per min?

is that each per injector?

let's do quick sum.

most extreme mpg = 10 @ 60 mph so that is 6 gallons per hour or 450 cc per min.

If the above flow rate num ber is per injector, then there is plenty to spare.

Even at 20 mpg there is a little bit to spare assuming 245 is total flow rate.

You can't really go by mpg, i.e. would you need bigger injectors if you drove around in 1st and 2nd gear a lot?

If you know what sort of power you are aiming for, then you can use one of the injector flow calculators on the web, though they tend to be quite pessimistic i.e. calculate larger injectors than you actually need.

If the power you are aiming for is less, or not much more than the bike that TB's came from then you should be in good shape.

tanks for that;

injector flow rate is: 246.09375 cc/min

so if the spec. above is per injector, then I am right on the button with these TBs.
