Yey the sun is out and the enthusiasm is back, even if it is cold.
I have re jigged my rad brackets today, something that has been bugging me for ages.
I picked up some cheap hoses at Newark show last year (or was that the year before lol) and can just about make a system out of them with some slight
miss alignment. The main pump hose is about 3-4mm out.
Or should I spend the dosh on some
silicone ? choices 
Do it right first time and only do it once.
If you dont get silicone hoses now you will regret it later and then get them.........
silicone hoses (usually blue) have spoiled many a perfectly nice engine bay.
why do you want silicone? polished or even satin aluminium tube between your rubber bits will do the job and be just as striking without looking
tacky. just give the rubber bits a clean.

i've put blue on mine and i dont like it.... use the rubber.

I've used copper central heating pipe for now, but will change it for ali tubes as and when I find the right t-piece (needs to go from 25mm with a 16mm spout - just dont seem to exist).
Nah go black and boring! you wouldnt want peoples attention distracted away from that nice alternator kit of yours now!

err, come on folks I don't think John Beardmore of all people meant buy the silicone hoses just cos of how they look!!!
I ALWAYS use them, and I don't give a toss how they look, on the racer they are usually covered in mud anyway.
I use them because they never burst. They don't go hard and brittle, they don't chafe through, and once you've bought them you can keep
re-using them on any new projects.
Use the right stuff and it won't let you down.

As Graeme keeps pointing out ive wasted loads of time thinking.
Ive just ordered a meter of 16 swg alloy tube and some black silicone bends and clips.

was going to mention that you can go for black silicone if you don't like the blue!
