Nitrous + Diesel

Did have a quick search as I'm sure it's been discussed before, but couldn't find anything.

Could/do nitrous systems work on diesel engines...?

My brain says that it's just increasing the oxygen concentration in the intake and provided the fuel system has the ability to increase the corresponding fuel shot then it should work.

What's the score....?

Yes, can be done. FifthGear did a mk2 or 3 golf a few seasons ago. Tried it against a supercar (can't remember what) and it was quicker.

They do work, although it has to be done in a slightly different way because of the diesel nature...

If you find a good place to do it in the north west give me his number and I shall save my pennies, SWMBO won't want a petrol car while it has a "f**k that van off" button

Most diesels the air is un-regulated so lack of oxygen is not the issue. Can always add more boost if so. Have a look into propane injection. Diesels love propane

You serious? If that could be injected into the air filter box I could do that

The only one I could find is $700 odd... If it's what I'm thinking of (and it looks like it is) then I've been looking for this for ages and unless you've got a truck...

The above google search, but using the UK only pages brings up a company called Diesel Bob, who are "looking into it"

We should ask them to email us all with prices so they think there's a good demand
