Getting rid of "ghosting" from Vinyl graphics.

Evening all.

I've bought an ex-AA VW T4 van to convert to a camper, and I have a quick question for those in the know when it comes to restoring paintwork.

The Van is bright yellow, and now the old signwriting and vinyl graphics have been removed, it seems the rest of the paint has faded slightly.

Does anyone know the best (and easiest!) method of restoring the paintwork to remove any ghosting that is still present?

As the van is quite large, I'm hoping the answer isn't going to be "several bottles of T-Cut, some rags, and a LOT of elbow grease"....

Cheers
Andy

the guy over the road had the same thing on a van he bought. the graphics were from a company not particularly liked round here so he had to get rid.
we found several bottles of T-Cut, some rags, and a LOT of elbow grease worked

or G3

if you use G3 expect the paintwork to be matted afterwards and need G10 to restore the shine. Excellent products and should do the job very well indeed as long as there is plenty of paint to cut back.

Buy a cheap DA, buy the expensive pads and compounds lol

If you do everything on a budget its going to be around £75 to get the machine etc, but thats alot quicker than doing it via elbow grease

(if you where local I would help do it)
