Sierra steering rack length?

Hi All

I've had a chassis in the garage now for too many years so figured I should get my finger out and start building again..
One of my issues is a shortened sierra steering rack.
I've had the internals shortened, but the outer ally case has not yet been cut.
My problem is, I can't find the dimensions of the original rack so cant work out by how much I've had the internals shortened by.

Would some kind fellow put a tape across a seirra steering rack and let me know how long it it is?
Total length, centre of ball to centre of ball - what ever...

Cheers

Danro

Just put a tape along one I've got outside and get 125cm end to end.

For ref. the ali casing is 58.5cm long. Does that help?

Oh my word!!
Where does time go??

I post a question and a YEAR later I get chance to see if anyone has replied Sorry..

That is excellent and with a little luck and determination I'll be using those figures and continuing on this mammoth task of building a car.. it has only been 12 years since starting!!!

Cheers chaps
