Fisher Fury with 1700cc, 110bhp Crossflow.
24, almost 25 years old.
Clean licence.
No NCB.
1 no-fault claim and 1 shared fault claim in the last 2 years.
Garaged in Reading.
5,000 miles.
Fully comprehensive, social, domestic, pleasure, commuting.

In the region of £690 plus admin fees with Adrian Flux.

Sounds a lot compared to the older guys, but it's about the same as a 1.6L hatchback. I had a look at Focus STI quotes, and for a car with similar performance and a lower value the cheapest was over £2,000. I'm hoping but doubting that next year's quote will be a fair bit lower after getting past the mythical 25 year barrier.

I've had a quote through Frank Pickles' online form. Setting it for cover to start after my 25th birthday next week, I could only get third party, so I had to lie about my age a little to make it look like I'm already 25. They quoted £240 fully comprehensive, limited to 5,000 miles. That's a third of what I'm paying now. So 25 actually is the magic number. Obviously, I'd correct the details if I went ahead with it.

Its an old thread alright - I'm now 56, and I sold the kit a few weeks ago! But, I got an email saying someone had put a reply on this.....

My last insurance (with Frank Pickles) £109 - but I had it limited to 1500 miles.....this was the reason I ended up selling - I hardly ever drove it!

Looking forward to the next build - It was the challenge of building I really enjoyed!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1
