Good garage for MK1 TT - South Oxon
Hi All,
Driving my wife's TT at the moment as she's got my estate (we have a new baby)!
It feels a bit clonky and baggier than it did (The TT that is  )
I'd like someone to check out the suspension all over, engine mounts, drivetrain etc. to make sure we're all tightened up and bushes/roll
bars etc. are all correct (I'm pretty sure it's not)
I can also smell exhaust in the cabin when stopped or reversing (not good)
And it needs a service too.
In the old days I'd jack it up and do it myself. Alas I have no time any more. I need to find a garage which is more thorough than my usual
'friendly' MOT place but not as ludicrously expensive as an Audi dealership (it's not worth that much any more)
Anyone know of a good independant garage within 30 mins of OX11?

Wheels in Motion in Chesham are highly regarded in the Merc and Mazda world for suspension set-ups but they are about 1hr away.

Not quite 30 minutes, but if you get desperate these guys have a great rep.

I had my car MOTed at Tune-Rite in Grove this week and they were extremely helpful. A lot of our guys drop their cars over there for servicing and
other work and are extremely happy with the service and price.

J Tech Automotive in Caversham are VAG specialists, not too bad from OX11....

He has cared for all our cars beyond the work I do. Wife's MK1 TT included. He is a very good engineer and has plenty of experience of all
VAG.
Just off J6 of the M40 so should be good for you to get too.

My Audi goes to VASS Tech in Whitchurch, Bucks. Highly recommended, altho possibly a bit far from OX11.

Micheldever Tyres are 45mins away - full laser allignment, very good reputation.
