ford ka paint code from reg number?
a friend (well, friend of a friend) asked me to spray a door for her. i know the car is silver i know what model of car it is, and i know the reg
plate number, but don't know exactly what silver it is...
anyone know how to check?
my mate found her a maroon door from a scrap yard in very good condition, he's had a look for the vin plate but can't find the paint
colour name, but the only code he's found is 240466E
it a ford ka, plate sg51yfk
anyone got any ideas? i know what colour i THINK it is, but don't want to just go with that, or could be an expensive mistake

Go to http://www.etis.ford.com/ select vehicle and enter reg no for details, moondust silver.

fantastic! top man mike!
i registered on there, but couldn't let it search with the reg plate. vehicle only brings up vin search for me, which i didn't have.
however, the vin you're showing works, and it shows the correct reg plate on screen, so i'm happy with that!

wonder why i can't seem to search by number plate though?
* i see what i did, i selected USA as my country (or rather, didn't select anything...) and reg plate lookup is only available in some places
