smoking diesel corsa

lo all the wifes 1.7 di corsa nearly failed its mot on emmisions last week.... got through with a tin of injector cleaner in it


now its been refueled, its smoking again

new air filter, and it does get opened up to blow the cobwebs out everytime i get in it.....
suggestions as to what to try to cure it ??

Not sure of the answer but ill keep watch on the thread as my 1.9 306 is horrific

Try taking the mechanical fuel injectors out and have them ultrasonically cleaned and callibrated. If you take them to a bosch agents should only cost about £50 ish.
You will probably find they are staying open/dripping if its black smoke.

Poss EGR requires clean out plus check Turbo
waste gate is not stuck open I've had that before.
