Bearing spacer 1.980"

Hi All,

I've looked around on the internet and can find one of these. I may have to have one made I guess?

I'm fitting Ford hubs to a Viva HC and in order to get the wheel bearings to sit in the correct places on the Viva stub axle I need to space the inner bearing back around 4.5mm so just need a spacing ring with an out side diameter of 1.980" and about 4.5mm wide.

Or I could use an old outer bearing cup get it machined down to the right thickness, is there anyone who could do that at my cost?

Cheers,

Poe.

If it's only a spacer get some steel pipe or tube that fits and cut 4.5mm off it. 50mm will be close.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Cheers Pete,

I just cutting a piece of pipe isn't going to be good enough it has to be perfectly parrallel so the bearing race sits flush with it and I also want it to be a tight fit like the bearing races so it never moves.

My old man is away at the moment otherwise I cold get him to machine one for me.

Cheers for the idea though,

Poe.
