Just having a chat with Geoff (wilkingj) on GB3OV and we wondered if there were any other licensees on here?

GW1CDH but not been active since the 80s. What does the "M" prefix signify, I thought we were all G-something in the UK?

The licenses are now 3-stage. I believe in the days of G... it was either morse or no morse?

Anyway M3 and M6 are Foundation. M3's first, then M6's when they ran out.

2x0 and 2x1 are intermediate. The x is the country code (E=England, I forget the others)

M0 are full licenses.

Morse is no longer needed, at least for me the G8's where a no Morse group, but with the licence changes no longer needed it to go HF.
