Do you need a full sky subscription to gain access to all the channels with that box?

I just bought a second hand one for about £45 on ebay. It's HD as my current box is not.

I was surprised just how many channels it picked up with out any card in not even a Freesat card when I hooked it up the the dish just to test it.

Unfortunately you need to pay Sky to use it to record and there is the extra subscription to access all the HD channels. Sky feels only moderately expensive when the cost is quoted monthly but work it out for 12 months and it's not a token amount!

You don't have to use an internet connection but the lastest boxes have that facility.
