GI Pro gear indicator wiring help needed

Hopefully someone out there will have been in the same boat as me before now, im currently running a 96 honda fireblade 919 engine with an 893 ecu and have a Koso RX1N clock which has the speed sensor pick up mounted onto the driver side drive shaft (ie after the diff).

Am i right in thinking that if i run the gear indicator black/green wire into the ignition pulse generator wiring (yellow) and the speed sensor wiring into the Koso's speed sensor it will work ok and be able to calculate which gear im in, or do i need a have a second speed sensor somewhere different like on the prop shaft straight off the engine before the diff for the gear indicator to work properly

Thanks in advance

Dave

Piggy backing that signal from a prop sensor.shouldn't be a problem as long as the the two items us the same transistor circuit, ie there both NPN or PNP. I had this issue you need to check with the manufactures or try it and see if it works!
