Sandy beach?

Anyone know of a sandy beach (not pebble/shingle but proper sand) between Bournemouth and Worthing?

You'll struggle...most if not all are shingle in the main, and a lot are pretty muddy at low tides to.

West Wittering is shingle at the top, but sandy (and a bit muddy) below when the tide is out.

Lepe (New Forest/Southampton) is a favourite of our kids. Shingles, mud, sand, seaweed and a 100m shingle spit at low tide. There's a cafe and a play park in the trees behind the beach as well.

Hengisbury Head. Beach huts there sell for 200,000

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

Christchurch beach is very nice - and is sandy. As you move further east, they start to turn to shingle/pebbles. I agree with Nick that Lepe is nice - good facilities to take the family along for a nice day out.

Bournemouth has loads of sandy beach - it does get very busy at weekends when the sun is shining, but still, a nice family beach.

thanks for all the suggestions - West Wittering looks like the top candidate for a visit.

Been to Bournemouth/Christchurch already (both are snady) so trying to investigate others.
