Fisher Fury prices

I may have a chance to buy an older Fury but have no idea of what they go for
Spec is live axle, Escort track rods hubs and axles, 1700 Crossflow
All a bit tatty inside and out, wiring a mess, crazed bonnet etc
In need of a good bit of TLC
So what's the price spread on Fury's

£1000 for what you are describing to £25K for a newbuild Busa Turbo engined nutter job.

If its correctly registered then it should be worth at least £2-£3k IMHO. You then could spend a couple of k sorting it out and its then a £5-£6k car

I've never seen a roadwortby fury for less than 4k (was looking a lot last year before I picked up the pheonix), so anything less may be a bargain depending on condition. I may not have been looking in the right places mind if other folk have found them at 1k. As previously posted above, non tatty examples are 5k plus.
My blade powered racer went for 8k with all the right bits on despite being very well used ( but still mighty quick).
Hope that helps!

a crossflow/pinto Fury is not going to be a £6K car, it would need a Zetec in it for that. £4-4.5K finished, so work out what you want to buy it for.

Interesting thread.

I did consider one when I was looking at sevens and ended up with the westfield and came to the concision that the price wasnt a million miles off but was a bit more depend on condition, as the bodywork by nature tended to be most susceptible to damage and more expensive to repair.

People said I could buy a roadworthy westfield for under 4 grand, and if I did it would be pinto/xflow, which isnt far of the truth, but equally I paid 3750 for one with a 1.9 cvh with very little wrong with it if slightly unloved, so nothing in life is fixed.

There was a crossflow car for sale a year or so ago on at £2500. It went pretty quick so I would say about £3k is reasonable.

The real disappointment was that when this road legal one came up there was also a track only one for same price
Full Caterham Crossflow dry sump all the race bits £3k, I turned it down as I had just got my 7 on the road
The one I'm looking at is well known to me and that may be why I am a tad cautious on the price, I think it will require a fair bit of work and money to produce a good standard but it is road legal so I could drive while I do most.
What is the Escort rear axle called, this would be the most difficult bit to find

The rear axle will be an English and all parts are available. Also, there are plenty of upgrade parts.
