mini wiper motor wiring

Hi guys, I've bought a mini cooper wiper set and just trying to wire it in (only £45 for whole kit)
I managed to get it working on slow intermittent but when I move it to fast it blows the fuse on the 12V going to the wiper stalk, the stalk itself has 4 wires single wipe, 2 intermittent settings and windscreen wash.
Can anyone fill in the blanks? I've included a wiring diagram of how I have it wired in atm, and why the fuse would blow when upped to fast intermittent.
thanks in advance

Wiring for my Lucas 14W motor to Sierra stalk is...

Top centre - earth (brown)
Upper right - parking brake (brown/white) to pin 31b1 on stalk connector
Lower right - parking supply (black/purple) to pin 54 on stalk connector
Upper left - slow speed (red) to pin 53b on stalk connector
Lower left - fast speed (green) to pin 53 on stalk connector

HTH

right just went out to play around with the wires and got it wired up fairly similar, it doesn't blow the fuse now, but all I have is off and speed 1 but nothing else will work I think it maybe a faulty wiper stalk as I used a fluke and tested the wires when the stalk was set to different positions and only got no resistance on speed 1.

It's a capri mk3 stalks I do believe, anyone know what the wires are theres only 4 of them. or alternatively what aftermarket stalks would look nice lol?

As far as I know, the standard Lucas 14W motor (if that's what you have) doesn't have an intermittent wipe function.

I wasn't expecting my intermittent wipe to work, and indeed it doesn't.

It doesn't bother me, but I think you can mod the wiring somehow, or buy some sort of add-on if it's a 'must have' for you.

Fraid I don't know the Capri stalk at all, but if you think it might be faulty, there's a number on ebay for under a tenner.

Having a "single wipe & 2 intermittent settings" sounds a bit strange. Are you sure your "single wipe" isn't really the intermittent, and the "2 intermittent settings" are continuous speeds 1 & 2 (slow & fast)? I would expect that to be the norm, but as I say I don't know the Capri stalk, so you may well be right.

sorry I meant 2 speeds slow and fast not intermittent. yeah I think the stalk is definitely faulty,
I do like the look of the escort mk4 stalks seen them on ebay fairly cheap but this can wait till after the MOT it cleans the screen and I have a separate button for the windscreen wash so it'll do for now
