Transmission tunnel bottom

It seems that a detachable alu pannel on the bottom of the transmission tunnel is quite uncommon despite a teorethical gain on drag force and a cleaner area. Is there any reason?

The only one seen is on Adithorp's car.

The same on engine bay. Am I wrongh?

A panel right across helps strengthen the floor. No need for a removal panel is there?

I have one piece floor and removable tunnel top.

If I did it again I would make removable panels in the tunnel sides to aid access to the diff bolts. I think Caterham have this?

My Luego chassis has welded in steel floor under driver & passenger, is it worth me making a panel to fit underneath to close in the tunnel ?

Been thinking about this for mine. Access looks tight once the panels are on.

Removable side panels are a must. In my opinion
