Quick build sequence question
I shall this morning finish the floor on my Avon and will flip the chassis over (pictures to follow). If I continue to do panelling (tunnel sides,
rear, footwells, etc) will this give me issues with installing fuel lines, brake lines and wiring loom in the tunnel ? Should I put pedals in before
putting too many panels around the footwell ?
Just looking for thoughts/experience as to the best way.

Depends if you can still get a drill in the tunnel for the line / wiring fixings.

I would install engine, box, prop etc first.

I welded in the panels behind where the seat backs go,
then couldn't get the forward bolt in or out of the top wishbone. DOH !
We all make mistakes, as the hedgehog said to the yard broom.

The first one we built we put all the panels on first wanted it to look like a car then found everything else twice as hard to do we now make the
panels trial fit and put them away untill rest of car ready.

Making the rear of the side panels removable is a godsend, if you need to remove the diff/prop at a later date.

All of the above seems logical to me for access reasons. I think I shall be trimming and trial fitting the rest of the panels today then. I shall then
do brakes/fuel/loom along with steering and front uprights etc. By the time I have done all that I may have all the fun bits ready to drop in.

The panels at the front of the tunnel on an Avon. How do they attach at the front end ? Do I bend the whole front edge through 90 degrees in towards
the footwell and attach to the upright chassis piece? using the Tiger supplied panels which are well marked up but there isn't anything to
suggest doing this.
What have others done ?

I have my panels for this area already made but no provision to make them removable except the top.
Do you recko it would be enough? Even if not super easy..
Or do you think at least some smaller removable panels would suffice??

Thanks Neil for the pic.
Sorry the piece I was meaning is the side of the tunnel, if installed in your pic you wouldn't see the G-clamp in your pic.
Don't suppose you have a pic of that installed do you ?

I originally made just the top removable, soon learned the error of my ways  and used a Dremel to cut out the smaller panels, they are held by self
tapers at the top and bottom, with a flange down the back panel.
Removing the prop/diff bolts just from the top is a PITA

I'll post some pics tomorrow. I drill and trial fitted all my panel and then left the tunnel until I had wiring loom, brake and fuel lines in. I
then fitted the front drivers part of the tunnel before the pedals as it is very tight with pedals in place
