Fair Price for a Triumph Tiger 100 kit of parts?

My son-in-law’s father dies recently and in his garage are most of the parts of a 1950’s Triumph Tiger 100 which he was planning to build up into another bike. As far as I know all the major parts are there with the exception of some of the minor cycle parts.

They want to sell this so his widow can have some essential work done on her house but I’ve no idea what a fair price would be.

Someone in the Vintage Motorbike Club has offered them £1,700.

Is this a fair offer?

John.

Doesn't sound too bad, they could probably stretch him closer to 2 grand, but, its the small cycle parts that cost money and make a resto........
