Brighton speed trial handicap class

Hi all,

One of the things I've always wanted to do was run in the Brighton speed trials, I always thought it was just for M.S. A classed cars etc, I happened to be on the Brighton and Hove club website the other day and they seem to run a handicap class for road going vehicles, would my kit be allowed in this Class? The reason I ask is that my roll bar doesn't conform to regs and being a stylus it's a sod to fit one that does ( rear brace bars in the boot etc)
Just a chance to blast up madeira drive would be a tick off the bucket list

I,m running this year in handicap in my DB7, I think they changed the rules this year and all kit type cars have to have a roll hoop if open although happy to be proven wrong.

If it's your bucket list just turn up in a reasonable road car.

The BTS handicap class is for MSA B grade license holders (gives you 2 runs), you need a A grade license to be in the main event (3 runs). As far as MSA compliance is concerned you need to comply with the Blue Book to compete.

I'm car 117 this year.
