Sylva Striker for sale

I'm seeing if there is any interest.

Not road legal and will need IVA but would be fine for track as it is.

Bought 12 months ago and stripped back to bare chassis and rebuilt.

See build thread for full info and pics.

https://jpsc.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1488

Engine is a 1971 Xflow 711 block
ported GT head
1600 with +090 pistons so now about 1700cc
Kent 244 cam
duplex timing gear
double valve springs
Steel rocker posts
ARP rod bolts
twin 40 carbs
alloy pulleys
new water pump
all new gaskets

Engine made 97 hp at the wheels on the rolling road.
Tuner thinks the cam is slightly out so still a bit more power to be had yet.

5 speed Type 9 gearbox
English axle with 3.889 diff (i think)
all new ball joints
new bushes in the steering rack
new wheels/tyres
calipers with mintex pads
new wiring loom
digital dash, every thing works.
all new lights
if you take a look through the build thread and you will see that every thing is new.

I have built the car to pass IVA so hopefully it wont take much to get it through.

Still to do:

Fit head rests (new RAW items included)
fit centre mirror (included)
rear fog needs to be mounted so it is vertical for IVA ( currently mounted to body so leans in at the top)
bits of rubber trim needed for any shape edges.
VIN plate needed ( new VIN from DVLA included)

Could really do with a high torque starter motor as the standard inertia one is a bit useless.

Car was corner weighted and weighed in at 525kgs with a standard battery but now fitted with a light weight power vamp battery.

I have around £6000 in the car but i know i will not get this back.

I am looking for £4400 ono.
Car is located near Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

When you have put so much time effort and money in plus it's so close to completion why sell it?

Regards,
Mike.

Alot of reasons.

I wont get it finished any time soon so rather some one else got it on the road and enjoyed it.

I would have thought it's worth a little more, but then it is the end of the "season". I also understand the need to get things sold sometimes - others can enjoy them, it frees up space and puts some money back in your bank.
