Mx 5 neutral switch on gearbox

Hi all , can you do away with the neutral switch on the gearbox of a mx 5 . At the stage of installing the engine and gearbox into my mnr and the switch is fouling the chassis. Cheers

not if youre running standard ecu. it is needed for idle control

In that case, yes. I'm on microsquirt with an MX5 box and neutral switch does nothing now
