Exhaust bracket help

Hi Guys,

I need to get a bracket for my exhaust so i can mount it properly, but struggling to find what i'm after.
It's one of these, it's pretty substantial - around 2mm stainless, but i need a 5" diameter, any idea what they're called?

Thanks,
Andy

Andy, can you post a pic of what you are trying to achieve ?

as my exhaust is mounted on the two inch pipe, with a normal clamp

Basically i want a 90 degree angle that comes off a vertical brace on the chassis, this will hold the usual exhaust "bobbin" which this pictured clamp would bolt onto.

It's to go round the main exhaust can to support it to the car. Currently i have a clamp round the end of the 2" bit of the exhaust but it is solid mounted and getting quite a bit of vibration from it.

Do you have a bracket or tab welded onto the can itself or purely done with something round the pipe?

Can you not get a strip of stainless steel and make one?

Bend to shape and drill the holes.

I've used universal bike silencer straps, they are thinner stainless steel but work spot on.

I did need to buy three though, then cut one up and weld an extension onto the other two to go around the 6 inch silencer.

Thanks kev, I think I might have a go at cutting and bending my existing one, failing that maybe get a tab welded onto the exhaust and mount off the chassis
