A burton catalogue or this page on the burton website are acceptable at IVA http://www.burtonpower.com/tuning-guides/tuning-guide-pages/ford-manufacture-dates.html

I had read that but I'm not 100% every tester will take it.
I have picture of the engine in the donor donor vehicle with reg number, stripped out of donor vehicle, then in my kit.
I'd prefer a letter from ford!

Phone the test centre and check the tester would be happy with it.

I used that address back in October last year and got a response in 4 days!

I just sent them a letter with the engine number and asked them to confirm the production date of the engine.

Got a letter back with the same info that you can get from the Burton catalogue but from Ford. IVA man was more than happy with this on my re-test.

If your sending them the reg number etc, then it has probs bounced back as they will not be able to do anything from that.

I wrote to that address two weeks ago with the engine number and got a response within a week confirming the engine build date.

I’ve sent the full hpi and destruction report along with a ford vehicle check from a ford main dealer, and a photo of the reg and chassis number. All of them show both chassis and matching engine number.

Hopefully that’ll be enough for them

I did the same a few years back for the Pinto that came out of my Sierra donor. Worked well and the response time was very good.
