What power did it make?

I keep thinking about changing my 954 blade engine for a newer lump.

It was bloody loud crouched down by the open air box to get that last clip, even with ear defenders on! Sounded awesome though! Good luck for the retest.

Thank you @theduck for you help👌🏻

it came in at
210kg front
287kg back

so 497kg total

it will be abit lighter than that when i have changed the wheels
and tyres for 13s and cr500

lighter seats,
lighter exhaust
all trim
remove reverse motor and gear

i’m hoping me and car will be sub 500kg 👌🏻👌🏻

You will prob get the car to around the 470kg at a guess
Depends on what wheels as the ones u have are quite light

The exhaust is pretty heavy with the car

What seats are u thinking as they look pretty light ?

Mine came in at 490kg but I am busa with a dry sump which is around 40kg heavier
I have arbs front and rear
Wide rear arches with 8.5" rears
Reverse gearbox
Full cage
Large oil cooler and large rad
Front and rear splitters

In the end it came out at 495kg

with everything that’s coming off the car i shoud be around 500kg with me and i’m
about 80kg at the moment!

on iva i had a full tank of fuel and tools and bits and bobs in passenger seat.
that i should of taken out

I’ll be going for the team dynamics pro race 1.2 13s
with the lightest tyre i can fit (avon cr500)

Full carbon seats should be a few kg lighter each seat

i have got a lighter wiring loom to change by (2.9kg)

The cat exhaust is about (10kg heavier than the carbon one i have)

the seat, arches trim will be removed couple of kg

the reverse motor and sprocket is about another 8kg

smaller and lighter carbon head lights,

i have drilled and lightend my front uprights by about 2.3 kg each

i have carbon front and rear arches, dash, interior panels

So hopefully with all the mods and changes i should be light. i’ll let you know as soon as i
have done all the weight loss i’ll take it to be corner weighted, and set up

NOPE!!

I drove there about 10am as my appointment was at 12 so thought i would get some food on route and it’s about
40min drive from me,

Anyways i get there i go to reception and speak to the bloke, told me to drive round to the work area
and he will meet me there.

Walks thought the door and says your not meant to be here untill next thursday 27th we had to change you appoinment
as one of our staff is off on holiday. i wasn’t best pleased as i had the day off work!

so i phoned head off/bookings and complained as i didn’t have a letter or email saying it was changed!

So No unfortunately i didn’t pass but had a nice drive in my car for a few hours wasted fuel and got my £100
rebooking fee back!

What airbox are you using/what have you done to a standard one, in order to get it under the bonnet line?

your have to turn the throttle bodies around 180 degree and then remove the the
plastic access casing and replace with a flat alloy sheet,
then you have about 5-10mm clearance

How low is your engine in the chassis? Is the sump below the bottom chassis rail? I'm going to be installing a cbr1000 soon and ideally want to avoid cutting holes in the bonnet in the car.

Hopley - Good luck with the IVA. Sounds like a right balls up!

Let me know once you're on the road. I've just bought an Indy Blade with an old CBR900RR (893cc) lump, and I'd like to upgrade to CBR1000RR at some point. I'm only down the road so it would be great to see yours!

That sounds like a down hill dyno for sure. Thats WSBK power

As long as the fueling was good.

nope!!

failed on emissions that’s was the only thing it failed on!
i think because i set up the power commander at idle not at 2500 rpm
so i have adjusted the power commander and need to test,

but i’m book in for the 12th so fingers crossed....

The only reason i haven’t been bothered with it failing is because of the weather
