IVA cat and tripod bearing questions

Hi All

I have tried a search but nothing found , having said that bet its been questioned before

does the cat have to be E stamped for iva , I want to use a 3" 200 cell sports cat.

Tripod question not iva

does any one have the correct positions when installing a tripod joint
I presume at rest ie: neutral lift dive ect that the joint should be half way up the travel ,but then I suppose it depends on the intrusion into the joint under dive and rise , any thoughts ? also engine movement !

There is no E stamp required for a catalytic converter, the 'proof of the pudding' will come when you have the car tested for emissions.

I've just had a look in the IVA manual and all I can see is that it needs to be secure, not leaking and not noisy.

The tripod bearing question is not IVA related more of a design question.
