Pinto’s what’s it worth thread.

I am thinking of pulling the Locost of the road at the end of the month to start the winter upgrades. Ie Zetec engine mounts.

So, can any one tell me where I want to be on price. It’s a 1.8 bog standard pinto. It’s got a modified flat bottom sump, the rocker cover is modified with the filler at the back. Standard exhaust manifold Ect, no the gearbox isn’t included.
I can chuck in most of the stuff to have it running in another car, cooling, exhaust.
I would think it’s ideal for an easy Iva. It was noise tested at 93db, no cat and so on.

When it left the factory it should have been around 85bhp and it’s not got any more now but it’s been great fun and has made me realise you don’t need stupid power on one of these. In fact the lack of power means you can chuck it about with out to much worry over over cooking it.

I was thinking £250. Is this over, under or on the money ?

The rocker cover and sump have value a 1.8 Pinto does not.
£110 for sump £25 for rocker cover
All the 1.8 Pinto bits should fit a 2.0L except head so there is value in individual bits like thermostat housing, starter, pulleys so you could get £50 to £100 for the bits
Exhaust heat shield is a rarity and throttle linkage would be useful to Ford enthusiasts
