Robin Hood-Removing and upgrading Sierra trailing arms to twin wishbone?

Hi guys,
I hope it’s ok to post here...
I’ve recently purchased a Robin Hood kit car and from what I can work out it running on inboard front suspension and believe it to be a sirrra 2s version. When driving and hitting pot holes it feels like the shocks bottom out? I’m only 11 stone 🤣. My question is has anyone done away with the dates Sierra trailing arms and fitted twin wishbones and coilovers?
Many thanks in advance,
Paul.
