Setting up the quickshift option on power commander 3

To activate the quickshift option on the PC3 on a motorbike you mount a rod with an inbuild switch in place of the original one and activate the option in the powercommand menu.
Does anyone know if it can be done with a proximity switch able of 200 mA? I tried to get an answer from Dynojet but didnt get a minimum rating for the switch. I dont have enough space to set up one of their rods and besides, they are silly priced for what in essence is a simple closing switch I think...

Best Regards, Theo

I'm sure you've already thought of this option but if you can't get an answer why not just try it. I'm not an electronics expert but you're unlikely to damage the power commander in this scenario just the switch.

Unless this type of switch is super expensive.

And if it is then a simple switching circuit using a transistor (or even a relay if you want to be old school but it'll add a bit of delay) would enable that it to switch mega current.
