Adding an image to a FLAC music file?

I have a library of music files in FLAC format.

Does anyone know a way you can add an image to the FLAC file?

I'd like to add the album front cover to each track from the album so it's more identifiable on my laptop.

Thanks,
Nick

Just google it Nick. I just found over 9 million responses in half a second. It could depend on what media player you are using but Google ( on certain occasions) is your friend.

I have Googled it and found some free software [Mp3tag], which allows you to append images and add other information (track title etc.) to individual FLAC files. Whilst it does this in the software the information doesn't seem to stick with the actual files outside of the software. Still trying to figure out if there's something I'm missing.

In terms of media players I use across Windows, Android and Apple:

Media Monkey (free and rips CDs into FLAC files)

Spotify (streams for each of my family of 5)

Sonos (we have Sonos speakers at home)

Probably a big ask for something that will work across all of the platforms and media players, but you never know

Perhaps I should also add that my library of FLAC files lives on a Western Digital Network Attached Storage (NAS) drive. I don't know if that makes any difference, but it may do so best to say now.

MP3Tag does the job, I've done it to attach images to my MP3's (the file type shouldn't make any difference to the process). However, it is a little 'quirky'. I got best results by first removing ALL information related to the file. Then it would accept the new details (as well as the new image).

I wondered how you got along with it and is software /apps etc in daily use?

I like the hardware and the front end is nice, till you srtart to use it!
I have to say I've found it all a bit of a faff!
And over complicated for a reasonably profficient IT/PC user, but not sure I've really loved it or got the most out of it
