750MC Locost Hillclimb car

1300cc Ford Crossflow powered ex 750mc Locost currently in hillclimb spec running in the DEWS Speed series as a modified specialist production car.

The chassis was professionally built by Luego in approx 2002 and was run in 750mc Locost races until 2013, apparently, it was raced by Pippa Cow who won the inaugural Formula Woman championship. I acquired the car in 2016 and it's had a full nut and bolt rebuild since with subtle mods that are easily reversed so it can race in Locost easily.

It's a really fun car to drive and is fairly quick too - 45.91 at Wiscombe and 39.29 at Gurston with a "portly" driver!

The current spec is:
1300cc +30 711M block, ported head, steel rockers, Piper 285 cam with duplex vernier cam gear, steel flywheel, twin Weber 40 DCOEs. It makes around 100bhp and has a 4 speed Type 1 box with Blackline LSD. It has Willwood 4 pot calipers and runs on Toyo R888 soft compound tyres. All of these parts are eminently saleable if you wanted to return the car to circuit spec and would fetch around £1500 as a conservative estimate.

It has a Roll Centre cage that is compliant and is certificated - car has a current Motorsport UK passport and new this season TRS belts dated to 2024 along with a Varley red top 25 battery but the fire extinguisher and seat are out of date.

It comes with a comprehensive spares package including rear axle, diffs, wishbones, engines, gearbox, nosecone, wheels and diffuser.

I'm looking for £6,500 for the whole lot or happy to discuss different spec options - feel free to call me for a chat.
