LOL True marc

Had to do nothing to ship the car, they ship it as is...

When I say rainy, its mainly at night anyway, but can get some massive storms during the day...

What weight did you declare for the shipping? Or do they just do it by the container? How much did it cost you if you dont mind me asking?

I hope it all goes well for you out there.

Ive just noticed your roll bar on avatar pic. It looks very high. is it really that big or just an illusion?

no it is really that big !!!!, when you draw a line from top of rear hoop to front chassis crossmember ( this is the two places the car will rest on when rolled ) as per rac msa spec there is 50mm clearance from head touching ground with helmet fitted, thats why each car has a custom rollbar to suit the drivers height.

best regards

marc

The shipping has cost me £1,000+ in the end, yes, was kind of a shock when the shipping agents told my cmpany they had put my car in the container.. sheesh..

Ah well, cant be helped...

Didnt need to declare the weight as its shipped by the container size, which was a 40 foot, tall size container with all my furniture...

Roll bar looks tall, but then I am 6'5" so it has to be tall to do something... none of this cosmetic crap for me

Well after many months of heartache with Cyprus customs and vehicle dept, they have finally agreed to register my car with a new registration and subject me to only £608 cyprus pounds for excise duty...

Hellenic insurance have agreed to insure me, 3rd party liability only, so it should be on the road soon...

Now I just need my landlady to sort the driveway so I can get the car in and out... lol

Just in time for the hot weather it seems..

On a different note, I pick up my new road car on saturday, 2ltr turbo Subaru Forester S/Tb... 240 bhp model

A scooby with a bigger body...

Car is going for its MOT in next few weeks, as its nice and dry and warm here now...

Got a Nicosia Traffic Officer doing all the legwork for me now in return for a drive... hehe. He rides an R1 2005 for his job, and is a real standup guy...

Says the exhaust noise wont be a problem, fingers crossed...

Well my driveway is now modified and the car is cooking on gas..

Have a slight oil leak from the dry sump system which is causing some concern, as a little oil goes a long way...

And I have no short 32mm spanners to tighten the pipes up with... grrrr

Has been out on its UK plates so far, but will be the cypriot plates in the next few weeks, then we are gonna give it some stick...

Am hoping to get some drag times on it in a the next 2 months and maybe even do a sprint race for road legal cars...

Fingers crossed all

Car walked thru its cyprus MOT today, a step closer to its Cyprus registration..

How does it reward me? By oveheating and dumping hot water all over my legs

Hey ho, the fueling is way off at the moment, so guess thats why it overheated, but crikey does it go on the open road...

Cant wait to get it properly sorted

Fueling is sorted, car walked the second part of its registration process at the Govt SVA centre today...

Gave it some welly down the bypass and had a full on powerslide around a roundabout and whilst overtaking a car...

The grip level is awesome until you floor it in a low gear... lol...

Should get my registration number within next 2 weeks then its fun fun fun all the way...

So cool having a police motorcycle escort when you are out playing silly buggahs

Well, the Cyprus authorities hit rock bottom today by saying I need the donor vehicles logbook to get my car registered..

As that isnt gonna happen ever, I though screw them.. Instead of paying them to register the car and then pay them road tax, I went to the north/south divide, and bought insurance for the UK registration number... £90 for 12 months 3rd party cover...

Sorted...

Took the car for a blast and the poor thing overheated... new rad should arrive next week, and I am gonna need to vent the bonnet to get some better airflow for the 40 odd degree heat here...

Clutch is now slipping as well.. probably cooked it today..
