Retro ford

Good evening.

Has anyone used the alternator bracket form retro ford for a black top zetec??

If so.... what alternator do you have to fit the bracket?? I can't for the life of me remember and I have lost their phone number

Any help would be great

Thanks in advance

not sure if the blacktop kit is different or not but with my silvertop alternator relocation kit the alternator used is off a 2.0 dohc 8v from granada or sierra

I just used the original bracket. Meant I could keep the tensioner, too. Just needed trimming to enable the DCOE manifold to fit.

Belive it or not I did look for the web site but nothing came up so thank you for that.

has anyone else had problems with alternators not lining up, belts coming off or do you just put them on and never touch them again??

i did have to get a new belt as the one supplied was a little too long. the shorter one kept the alternator closer to the engine and so maximised space in the escort bay.

i can take a photo for you if you like as my belt lined up nicely and has never slipped off

cheers
