LMP is Steve Turner's project isn't it? He's in Scotland and goes under tadltd name on here but I've not seen anything of him for a while.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

i believe the LMP phrase just refers to the style of car ('le manns prototype', unless im mistaken). MNR did have something in the pipeline istr.

There is a bit in totalkitcar.com this week although the picture under the headline is wrong. It is on MNR's website though.

Like all LMPs, it seems a bit pricey to me compared with a seven. That much cash could build a seven with all the nice bits fitted. LMP cars are supposed to be more aerodynamic but top speed is irrelevant unless you do a lot of track days. A bike engined seven could lose your licence for you in very few seconds.

Nope not the Turner LMP, that one is well investigated but steve doesn't anwser e-mails very much (still beautifull car though)

I did mean the MNR LMP project, I know the info on the MNR site, but is there any news about this one?

I do try, but I get about 500 a day so it takes a while to sift thro' the viagra offers... Inbox is currently sitting at 393 unread, so if one of yours is in there I will get round to it..

Steve.

Hey steve, No hard feelings whatsoever on my side, exploding in-boxes are very frustrating I know.

the only main question on my side is the one about the uprights, are the replaceble with something from a donor?

just want to know some more about the other LMP's on offer.

I don't know of any other uprights that would give the same geometry settings as ours, but that doesn't mean that they don't exist.

I would think that something from an MGTF, Toyota MR2, or an Elise/VX220 would work reasonably well. You'd probably need a set of bespoke wishbones tho', which are easier to manufacture than an upright!

hoping to have some pics of the completed rolling chassis in the next few weeks, designing all the alloy bulheads and brackets has taken longer than expected but are now finished and are awaiting programing and producing as we speak

Marc,

Any idea where you're aiming this project at?

Trackday, budget racer, club level motorsport, radical alternative or juno/chiron/norma spec level?

And any idea on ballpark costs? Is it to be road going or track only?

cheers,

Ned.
