I love R888's but tyre choice is a very personal thing

Second R888's and they have a new EVEN STICKIER compound out.

I also have A048's on the Elise S2 with the OZ Racing Wheels 195's on the front - and they are wicked too.

That said Toyo T1S seemed pretty bloody sticky on my last trackday and for £35 tyre didnt embarass themselves at all!

Sometimes on RWD its fun to have a slightly breakaway tyre - as long as it's progressive - T1S in 195/50/15 was lovely and progressive a real 'drifting' tyre for a 7 type chassis anyway!

Good luck - if your choice is sh*t just donut the fcuk outta em

I don't think R888 will last too long on a Saxo.

A048's are far better than the R888's, but you pay a bit more and they won't last too long either.

I've heard good reports on Hankook RS2's and the Toyo T1's as mentioned above and they're cheap (er) and better suited to heavier cars (heavier than 7's anyway).

Pat...
