Jam-fit or glue?

I've just fitted a crankcase breather outlet to my x-flow block.

No carbs
No carbs

At the moment it's a jam-fit, so to speak, but should I use some liquid gasket stuff? There's no o-ring on the bit that sticks into the block, so there's no seal as such.

Mind you, it won't be holding any pressure, 'cos the other end of the hose will go into the catch tank.

cheers,
David

That type is just a interference fit, wack it in with a soft hammer or block of wood and normal hammer and it will be fine.

It had recently been wiped!

Also, I've been trying very hard to close up all the oil leaks (95% success).
