Odyssey battery for locost
Streetfighterpete - 19/10/14 at 01:00 PM

Hi all, anyone ever fitted an Odyssey dry cell battery to their locost? If so what size did you fit? I'm running a 2.0 Zetec blacktop engine.

Cheers

Pete

PC 680 works fine.

PC680 starts high compression 2100 pinto no problem.

Hi guys,

Thanks for that - just what I needed - I was looking at the PC1200 which would probably have been a bit of an overkill.

PC680 on mine as well.
1.8 Pinto. I didn't know what to buy and it seems much better than a normal acid battery.

Just don't let them discharge and/or get too cold for long periods.

Battery optimiser is a good idea.

PC680 for me, too - Blacktop 2.0 zetec on throttle bodies..

They don't last very long, but maybe that is related to charging properly. I had two, and ended up with a bike battery.

Re PC680
I was informed when I purchased mine to install a battery cut off switch as they can be drained quite quickly due to being connected to a load, I also connected a plug to the battery as to allow a smart charger to be connected easily
