fire blade oil pressure

got the car up and running and the oil pressure on idle is 16 - 18 psi (cold)
seems really low to me and when warm drops more, is this normal?
its a 929 fire blade

when i rev it to 5K it goes to about 70psi which is what the book says!

My engines cold have always swung right around to the 80's, drops a little when hot and running with idle (which is high ~ 1000rpm) in the 30's

919 engine, 893 was similar.

Does seem a little low but as long as it picks up when running I would not worry.

My 929cc fireblade ran at 10 to 12 psi hot at tickover and like yours at around 70 psi at 5000rpm, Ive also had a 893cc blade which also ran about the same, just 8 to 10 psi on tickover, so yours sounds fine to me.

Just as a comparison, my zx10r 2007 only had 5 to 7 psi on tickover, and 80psi at about 6000rpm when hot.

I've got a 954 which again provides good pressure (60+) when revved but is consistently around 10 or even less when at idle when hot.
