Oil cooler questions

Hi,

I am trying to fit to my Fireblade engine an oil cooler, Accusump set up; if anyone has done this or has some experience/knowledge of this what I need to know is:

1. Is there a threaded access into the engine block in situ for the Accusump to plug into?
2. Can one fit a sandwich plate between the oil filter on a Fireblade engine?
3. If one can what size does the plate have to be?
4. how should I organize the flow; filter to cooler to accusump or some other way?

Getting really fustrated.

Ranjan.

Has the blade engine got a oil to coolant cooler? (Modine)

If its like my R1 engine you can remove this, then get a fitting the same as the one the oil filter screws onto and screw this into the hole in the block where you have removed the modine from, then you can use a sandwich plate onto this.

Not sure if you can fit a plate between filter and block, as the filters are a lot smaller than any sandwich plate I've seen.

Thanks for that; yes, it does have a modine.

Andy (AB Performance) has given me some valuable information so hopefully it will be sorted soon.
