Zetec cams

I've got some 1.8 rs cams to fit to my silvertop 1.8. Following the id guide on here they seem right but I could well be from a blacktop. Does anyone have a definitive answer on if these are ok to use on a silvertop. I see some posts say you have to change buckets when you swap them over? Is it easy to do are there any guides anywhere? also the cams have some surface rust on the followers, will this make a difference?
Thanks

The followers on a silvertop are hydraulic
Solid on a blacktop so not interchangeable
Its not good practise to fit a used cam to unmatched followers, however these cars dont do 20k a year so it wouldn't stop me
Just cover it in thick oil when you fit it
RS cams have different placed id rings to 2.0 ones so are easy to id
Ive heard they are slightly 'hotter' too

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but cams with rust on the lobes or journals may be scrap!

The risk is the rust could have pitted the hardened surface
