How often do sevens need servicing?

Everyday - that's what I tell the missus!

Depends on driving style, miles covered. BEC/CEC I'd stick to donor engine intervals at the very least!

Rest of build - how well have you done it? Everything is open to discussion...

Seeing as most 7's only do a few thousand miles per year i would give it a service before each 'season' arround March April time so you will be all set for the summer.

Its the same as asking, How often should you service the wife ? you'll never get one definitive answer.

Haynes recommends 6 months for engine checks, which I'm happy with as it is a production item.
The rest of the car is a bit different. Given the nature of it I was wondering wheather 12 months, 6 months or 3 months would be better.

Seriously though, I check my old landrover over once a month. I do basic visual checks on plugs, leads and battery plus top up all liquids etc. I only do 150 miles a month and its still a useful excercise. Its all that is needed to keep it 100% reliable. Oh and its 25 years old !
