Anyway, where we meeting, Newlands or the A3 slip road cafe ??

Jason

theconrodkid - 2/7/04 at 01:45 PM

how bout a vote?maybe A3 cafe then on to newlands?

Deckman001 - 2/7/04 at 01:52 PM

How about which ever has a roof over the seating area

Jason

ned - 2/7/04 at 01:55 PM

I think newlands would be better. it's that bit further for those coming up through the back roads and you have to go on the m25 or a3 to get there.

Ned.

theconrodkid - 2/7/04 at 02:34 PM

newlands dosnt have a roof, dunno about the A3 cafe tho, could meet at the A3 and depends on how good/bad it is move on to newlands after.to be honest food at newlands is crap

ned - 2/7/04 at 03:07 PM

if i have time i could pop up to a3 cafe tonight and check out the roof department

It's surrounded by trees so doesn't have the attractive views we all enjoy at newlands (nor the same cafe staff jason )

Ned.

Deckman001 - 2/7/04 at 03:29 PM

Donna hasn't been there for a while now, and havn't found out the name of her stand in (yet)

Jason

theconrodkid - 2/7/04 at 03:54 PM

if donna isnt there its not worth going then, what you want a roof for?

Deckman001 - 2/7/04 at 04:04 PM

cos the weather is meant to p1ss down !! well shower anyway

Jason

ps, I'm in a tin top remember, so the drive don't bother me, am thinking of you open drivers !!

theconrodkid - 2/7/04 at 04:09 PM

look at the other weather forecast,it says sun

Deckman001 - 2/7/04 at 04:24 PM

The A3 place, is that the one on the slip road onto the A3 southbound, at the juction of M25, if so, whats the food like then?

Jason

theconrodkid - 3/7/04 at 03:46 PM

thats the place, ned was going to spy out the land,as said earlier want to meet there at 10 and take it from there????

Deckman001 - 3/7/04 at 07:36 PM

As in the last msn John, you check it out on the way to Newlands and give us a report when you get there, we could pop up there after if it's any good

Jason
See you all at Newlands First

ned - 3/7/04 at 10:12 PM

didn't get a chance to go sus it out. Meet at newlands as norm. Conrod can check it as Jason suggests en-route!

Ned.

theconrodkid - 4/7/04 at 01:57 PM

anyone get wet on the return journey?,good to see so many peeps n cars today, and great to see high speed dirt all the way from dartford

Jasper - 4/7/04 at 05:08 PM

Hey James - I didn't see all those trucks and race cars at Newlands

BTW - didn't want to embarrass you on the dual carriageway - just took her up to 9k rpm rather than the usual 12k rpm

bob - 4/7/04 at 05:25 PM

Got a bit wet on the way home car needed cleaning anyway

Nice meet good turn out of cars, its getting bigger!!!

see you all at uxbridge autoshow 18th july.

highspeeddirt - 4/7/04 at 08:03 PM

I had a good time, saw some cars, met some people, got a bit lost and a bit wet but the loco worked great on it's longest trip to date, 120 miles including the detour. It's just a pity I came along the M25/A3 as they are hardly good bec roads. Next time I'll try some back roads and have some more fun.

Steve

trueblue - 4/7/04 at 10:18 PM

Been caught on camera again;
really must be more discrete about this
