Are there any car clubs meet ups etc going on in the Essex area. I know of the "Cruise" nights at the Dick Turpin pub on the A127 (& of course Southend), but seems to be Yanks/Cobras/hot rods & not much else. There seems to be plenty going on in Kent but nothing in Essex - surely I can't be the only nut behind the wheel round here?

Just got my plate number from the DVLA yesterday. I'll be on the road VERY shortly And I'm not too far from you either(Billericay/Brentwood)

As for meets, I'm not aware of any kitcar meets, except the one near Sudbury on the 27th.

I'm in Rayleigh, but still building. I recon around 6 weeks, but I'd be up for a meet, even if its just to introduce ourselves.
Plus if any of you have any experiance of Bike engines in cars, it would be most appreciated, as I'm dreading turning the key

Like you say a few yank/hot rod meets but kit cars a bit thin on the ground. There must be a few of us in the essex area now, see how many respond and we could go and hijack the Westfield mob who meet over near Chelmsford .

OK looks like the 4 man Essex car club, must find a pub that's not too crowded then!
C'mon guys where are all you Essex Locosters (or whatever), I can't believe there aren't enough "car" people in Essex to do more than is currently going on - ie nothing!

The little that does go on tends to be joint Essex/Suffolk meets, up in the North of the county.
I'm up Colchester way as are a few others.
I'm sure as, or if, the weather gets better there will be a few meets organised.
There were a few evening meets this past winter. Unfortunately I was unable to make any of them due to wrong shift or holidays.
There was talk of organising regular Sunday meets at one time.
There are a few going to THIS meeting next week so maybe something more regular will come out of this.

Finchingfield a beautiful village good place for a meet and some excellent country driving roads.
