that looks like a good day out, is there anything you need to do to your car for scrutenering, i've used my car for trackdays, so would it be ok and how much does it cost/how much track time do you get.
Top video, i was glued to my seat, just want to have a go now

Basically it's a RWYB (Run What You Bring) as long as it basically passes an MOT (?) you can pass the scrutineering.

It's a great day out and lets you see just how fast you can go... nothing for the handling, obviously!

You could always see what is available around Wales as a RWYB... prices range from £25 to £35 a day, you get about 10-15 runs depending on who else is running...

Chris Mason could likely give you more information.

Let me explain the missed gear scenario... picture the scene on a Saturday Night down the dogs, a few wins under the belt. The amber nectar flows and before you know it, it's 7:00 and someone outside is making a noise with a trailer!!! The next thing to appear is a blurry green light, what is that all about?!?! As the alcohol is replaced by blood, a slow launch is the best that can be mustered... gear changes are the least of my worries.

Needless to say my method of preparation is not to be recommended as it seriously affects your response times, gear changes and just about everything else.

Looks like you had a really good day

pjavon - 19/7/06 at 07:15 PM

Thanks for the info Steve. I'd guess york dragway is proberly the closest for me, but if anyone can advise me otherwise, i would really appriciate it.
Seems a great way to spend a day, and a lot cheaper than trackdays, i mean they say you should try everything once don't they

Not a great deal. Basically if nothing is obviously loose and there's no leaks you'll be fine. It's a very basic check.

Great video by the way
