I live in Clay Cross about 5 miles from town but I avoid Matlock whenever possible at the evening and weekend, I made the mistake of coming down the Bath instead of through Cromford and Lea the other week and it took 3/4 of an hour to get from one end to the other, it would have been quicker to walk it.

First Wednesday of the month at the Young Vanish Inn, Glapwell. There weren't many there last month and I missed the previous one due to flu . I'll be there next Wednesday.

Turn off the J29 roundabout down the dual carriageway towards Mansfield, one before the M1 south and stay on the road up the second hill on the left at the top. There's a light controlled crossing right at the car park entrance so you can't miss it.

If I'm back from London in time I'll pop down to the J29 meet but all depends on trains and timings
