So whose going this year.
For some reason (heard that Houx Annexe maybe closed) we couldnt even get in Bleu Nord this year, so we are down in Beausejour. Booked for 15 cars, so
around 30 of us going.
Should be a good one!

I've been planning to go for some years now. Can anybody give me some tips; when to go, where to stay, do's and don'ts etc.
Will come from either Italy or the Netherlands.
Anyone want to buy a couple of domain names off me?
I have
http://www.lemans2007.co.uk
and
http://www.lemans2007.com
Got them last year, cause I thought I'd organise a trip there myself this year, but too busy at work!
Cheers

Most people go down the wednesday, as there is practise wednesday evening, the qualifying on the thursday. The race is then normally 4pm Sat to 4pm
Sunday although this year its been moved an hour (backwards or forwards i cant remember!)
Alot of people book a year in advance to get the best camping spots. I think there are still places available in Beausejour though. This can be bought
online through the ACO Link. Camping is about 45 euros for a pitch (35m2) for Wednesday to Monday. Enough to fit a car and
tent on.
Entrance tickets can easily be bought when you get there from the gate, Ive never heard of them selling out. Its 60 euros for all the Practise, Quali
and Race sessions. This will also get you into the pits on the friday.
If your going from the Netherlands I would drive, there is always loads of people heading down from Calais on the Wednesday and Thursday so its likely
you wont be alone!
If you didnt want to drive from Italy, you could fly into Paris, get the train down to Le Mans and get a taxi to the circuit. Or Hire a car from the
Airport.
You dont even need to take anything with you! There is a local Carrefour that sells everything you need, You can get a tent and sleeping bag for about
20 euros. Even a change of clothes!
Its definately worth going, its basically a week long party thats happens to have the worlds greatest motor race in the middle of it!
We are going, but don't know if the 11 will be finished in time

Houx Annexe got a little bit wild last year (bloody dangerous on the rounderbouts) so it wouldn’t surprise me if the barmy army’s ticket allocation had been slashed!
We'll be there, I think were on "Expo" this year - never been there before.
I'll be in the Haynes Roadster, Steve will be in his Fireblade powered locost and Tony's in his cossie indy.
We'll have to meet up for a beer!
Cheers

I will be there again. I have a work trip to Le Havre the weekend before so I may just stay for the week.
My only concern is that I enjoy the drive from and to Calais and the automotive scenery is usually good.
I am going, got a spot Maison Blanche
I'm off again this year - camping tickets booked for Beausejour. Must get the ferry booked...
yup i'm going too. In the tintop unfortunately
I will be there at the Expo campsite once again. We will have my car along with a Marlin 5EXI and a robin hood and hopefully a support wagon.

Cool -Thanks
Chris
Expo is the one with the cow sheds isnt it? We visited the Morgan boys there the other year.
No swimming pools again? I know they said no last year because of a hosepipe ban in france. Surely its a bit early for them to tell! Or is it a
general ban from the ACO?
Yep
You can even fit your car in the sheds if you left the rain cover at home
We had 13 of us in the pool 2 years ago it was the best way to cool off and to wash of the dust
Although after 3 days it did look a bit like oxtail
soup. Ah well another year washing under the tap.
Wheezy... what day are you goin cause
expo gets well packed you need to be on
by wed at least other wise its hard work
knockin tent pegs in the carpark
We take the ferry to St Malo and stay overnight in Rennes on Wed arriving at the campsite for Thursday lunch. We have done that for the last 5 years
and always found space in the cattle sheds
Last year they only issued half the usual number of camping tickets for Expo as most of the campsite was booked by Danish tour companies with their
tents already erected for them.
