South Brum June Meeting
JAG - 5/6/07 at 02:05 PM

Warwick Racecourse at 19:00 Monday 11th June

As the weather is getting better I thought we could do another drive-drink-drive type of meeting.

There's a service road opposite the racecourse on the Henley road. see this map, the arrow indicates the service road;

Start/End; HERE

From here we'll head to Southam, then Dunchurch, then Daventry before following the A361 to Chipping Warden.
Here we'll stop at The Griffin Inn and spend 1/2 - 1 hour in the pub (Griffin Inn Website).

Then continue along the A361 to Banbury. We'll pass through Banbury and then turn right up the B4100 and B4086 - back towards Warwick to finish at the racecourse. I make it 100km (62 miles).

Here's some more info' on the pub;

The Griffin Inn, Culworth Road, Chipping Warden, Oxfordshire. OX19 1LB
Telephone:01295 660230

And some directions if you just want to meet us there: From the M40, Exit 11, take the A361 towards Daventry. After about 5 miles you will come to the village of Chipping Warden. The Griffin Inn is located in the centre of the village.

If you don't have a Se7en/kitcar but would like to tag along drop me/the group a U2U/email and we'll see if we have any passenger seats spare.

Would it be ok to meet you in Southam somewhere? I'd be in a 205 GTi, but don't have any spare seat if swmbo comes along. Parking in Chipping Warden could be a bit tight, depending upon how many people/cars there are, but there is space down near the church, which is just off the main road.

Hi Si,

You'd be very welcome to join us.

We'll be coming from Leamington along the A425 then heading round Southam and towards Dunchurch on the A426.

Jag, in case you get this in time, any chance you could arrange a fuel stop in Southam at the first (non BP) garage? I could meet you all there.

Hi Si,

Just replied to your U2U and we'll try and meet up in Southam.

Anyone else fancy joining us? All are welcome
