Hi Guys,

Following the conversation at last months meeting I'm just trying to sound out who'd be up for a BBQ at Cheffy Towers.

Looking at Wednesady 11th July or Thursday the 12th July, to fit in around work etc.

How's everybody else fixed?

Also, how about we work it the same as last year - I'll organise the food and everybody chips in a few quid and brings whatever they want to drink with them?

Oh, by the way, I'm in Woodstock, North Oxford for those who didn't come last year.

I'm on call all week, but the chances are I'll be in the area, so I'll probably pop in anyways. Either day is good for me. You'll probably have to stick the directions from the gate up again, especially after my shocker last year!

Hi Martin, would be up for this but doubt I would be able to make it that week as we have a race the following weekend and are usually in the workshop quite late in the evenings. Can play it by ear though and see what happens!

I can do either, but i'll be starting work at midnight, so maybe running off half way through.

I can wait until August if everyone else is busy. Shame really, as I could get paid for being there!

PS. DIY Si, presumably we'll have our normal 2nd Tuesday meet on 10th July now so you could always get paid to drink there instead!

Should be ok for that. Won't be getting paid for the meet, as I'm not on call this month now. But it does mean I don't have to con the office into thinking I'm working!

Right, as is usually the way with these things the Boss has thrown a spanner in the works again and I'm now working on the weekend of the 11th August!

How's everybody fixed for Saturday 4th August? The only other alternative being mid week following the 4th, say Wednesday 8th or thereabouts.

Sorry Guys, my first Grandchild arrived on Thursday night so I've spent most of the week belting back and forth between Oxford and Wellingborough and took my eye off the ball!

Right, we have three options.

1. Saturday 4th Aug, but Jud and Scutter are both none starters for that
2. Wednesday 8th August could be an option if more people are gonna be available.
3. Knock the BBQ on the head and have our usual monthly meet at a pub on the second Tuesday of August - the 14th.

What does everyone think.

Oh, Martin congrats on now being officially old! Can we all call you Grandad now?!

Me and the old man are up for the Sat along with the mother and my girlfriend in tow!

Weds might be difficult for me but I could make it not too sure bout Dad tho.

What about having the BBq on the bank holiday weekend end of August? The Sat or Sun depending if everyone has the Mon off?

Right, going for a 'mini bbq' Saturday night - sort of beer 'n' a burger. Graham and Ian (hissingsid et al) are coming over as they def can't do Wednesday (8th). Anybody else welcome (DIY Si?) - just stick a reply up and let me know.

I'm on holiday for 10 days after tomorrow (Wednesday 1st) so if anybody wants to do the same again Wednesday that's no problem. Again, stick a post up and we'll set it up.

I may be able to make it, as I may be off to Rochester to get some parts! But since I might be going on my own I should be able to blag a little traffic and swing via Oxford on the way home!
